Eva Longoria

Eva Longoria is a renowned Hollywood actress who is best known for her role as Gabrielle Solis on ABC’s hit TV show, Desperate Housewives. Eva was born on March 15, 1975, in Corpus Christi, Texas where she also grew up in her Mexican-American father’s ranch. She was the youngest of four sisters, one of whom had special needs. Eva was raised Roman Catholic, and she did not learn how to speak Spanish until 2009.

Longoria went to Texas A&M University-Kingsville where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. While there, Eva also kickstarted her modeling career and became the 1998 Miss Corpus Christi USA.

After college. Eva entered a talent contest in Los Angeles which, unknown to her at the time, would be her breakthrough. Shortly after, Eva was spotted and signed by a famous theatrical artist who loved her talent and work ethic. Longoria landed her first ever television role in 1999 when she met Executive Producer Gary Ghiaey in Los Angeles. She guest starred in Beverly Hills, 90210 and General Hospital before landing her first significant role as Isabella Brana on The Young and the Restless.

After leaving The Young and the Restless in 2003, Eva was cast as Gabriel Solis in Desperate Housewives, a role she went on to play for almost a decade. Her performance on the show earned her a Golden Globe Award nomination and an ALMA Award win in 2006. Longoria has appeared on multiple other TV shows and films and has also been involved in some TV shows as an executive producer.
