Aubrey Plaza is a well-known American actress, producer, and comedian who is best known for her role as April Ludgate on NBC’s hit sitcom Parks and Recreation. Plaza was born on June 26, 1984, in Willington, Delaware to a Puerto Rican father and an Irish-English mother.

She went to an all-girls high school where she was the student council president. While there, Plaza was drawn to the performing arts, and she participated in various productions with her local Wilmington Drama League.

Plaza began her acting career in 2004 performing sketch comedy and improv at Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. Plaza also performed stand-up comedy at the Laugh Factory. Plaza then starred in ESPN’s Mayne Street, The Jeannie Tate Show, Funny or Die, among other small roles. Plaza’s big break came in 2008 when she starred in Mystery Team. She would go on to star in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and Funny People.

From 2009 to 2015, Plaza played the role of April Ludgate in Parks and Recreation. Although her role was minor at first, she went on to become one of the breakout stars of the show propelling her career to new heights. Plaza has made appearances in many movies and TV shows as well as produced films such as ‘The Little Hours’ and ‘Ingrid Goes West.’
